The unique review of Leszek Mądzik’s Artistic Output will take place in the days directly preceding the Third Lublin Festival: Theatrical Confrontations (October 7-14, 1998). In one week the Scena Plastyczna KUL Theatre will present seven performances: Herbarium (Zielnik), Dampness (Wilgoć), The Wanderers (Wędrowne), The Bondage (Pętanie), The Gate (Wrota), The Whiff (Tchnienie), The Gap (Szczelina) and The Pal (Kir).
Leszek Madzik once said that all his life he has been doing one and the same performance trying to penetrate teh greatest mysteries of human existence. This idea, the struggle with these mysteries and transformations of poetry may be vividly observed in this review. In the series of plays his wordless theatre of truth will reveal the picture of itself and the time in which it exists. It is “a wordless” theatre since according to Mądzik silence is the act of religious humbleness and artistic realism at the same time: words cannot grasp eternity and metaphysics since their time is limitless and they do not know the mystery of transformation.
